General product description:

Didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide urea clathrate (DDAB-CC) finds use as a disinfectant, sanitizer, germicide, algaecide, fungicide and virucide. It exhibits high biocidal activity against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria as well as algae, fungi, viruses etc.

Didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide urea clathrate (DDAB-CC) is a Quaternary in powder form and consequently of particular advantage when the use of a powder at the point of application is preferred. The powder can very easily be dissolved in tap water and is very tolerant to hard water and organic matter. It is compatible with cationics, amphoterics and non-ionic surfactants.

 
Application areas and recommended dosage: Didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide urea clathrate (DDAB-CC) is used for the general sanitation and disinfection of meat, fish and food processing. Here are some examples of typical uses and dosages:
  • General disinfection: 2.5 – 5 g / 10 liters
  • General sanitation: 1.5 – 2.5 g / 10 liters
  • Equipment disnfection (food industry): 2.5 – 5 g / 10 liters
  • Algicide & slimicide in cooling towers: 0.002 – 0.05 g / 10 liters
  • Veterinary use (equipment and surfaces): 2.5 – 5 g / 10 liters
  • Disinfection of poultry drinking water: ca. 1.5 g / 10 liters
  • Paper and textile industries as bacteriostat and fungicide: 3 – 30 g / 10 liters
  • Paints: preservative of aqueous emulsions: 15 – 30 g / 10 liters
 
Information on use: The recommended amount of didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide urea clathrate (DDAB-CC) is dissolved in tap water and stirred. Application can be by brushing, dipping. Spraying and fogging. The minimum recommended contact time is 10 minutes and subsequent rinsing with water is not required.
