Pentasize 68 is an alkenylsuccinic anhydride (ASA) neutral sizing agent for use in the paper and board industry. The product is supplied as an amber coloured liquid of 100% active content. ASA products are non-ionic in nature and will therefore need to be emulsified on site prior to use on the board or paper machine. Pentasize 68 must be emulsified with cationic starch or polymers prior to use and this is best achieved by the use of an in-line shear mixer system. The product is effective over a pH range of 4.0 - 9.0. Retention of the product can be readily secured by the appropriate choice of retention system. |

| Storage and Handling : | Pentasize 68 is best stored in a very dry place with adequate ventilation, and kept away from sparks and flames. Storage temperatures should not exceed 40°C to minimise colour degradation. The product may be contained in stainless steel or GRP vessels. | |
