Applications: Pentasol SBDO-70 is a low cost anionic surfactant with excellent wetting properties. It finds us in cosmetics, household cleaners as well as printing inks and paints and as an emulsifier in emulsion polymerisation. It exhibits the following properties:
  • Excellent wetting power
  • Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC): ca. 1g actives/liter
  • Relatively weak foam formation
  • Readily mixable with anionic, amphoteric and non-ionic surfactants
  • Relatively low solubility in water: the solubility in water can be increased to 80% by the addition of solubility enhancers
  • Biodegradable
 
Usage concentration as % of active substance:
Cosmetics:
ca. 0.1 - 2.0 %
  Coatings: ca. 0.1 - 1.0 % of finished
coating system
  Polymerisation: ca. 1 - 3 % based on monomer
 
Storage: Pentasol SBDO-70 should be stored at room temperature and protected from frost and heat. Product is stable for 2 years from date of production if stored correctly in sealed original containers.
